Nurul Sabri is a qualified Quantity Surveyor with over 13 years of experience in the construction industry. She has held commercial and contract positions with contractors and consultants in Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar, and has been involved in a wide variety of projects employing various forms of contract, particularly the FIDIC suite and bespoke forms.
Nurul specializes in contracts, claims and dispute resolution and has significant experience in the dispute resolution procedures. She has provided commercial and contractual advice, evaluated quantum for delay and disruption, prepared and defended claims for disputed variations, prolongations, disruptions and final accounts.
Nurul has worked on international arbitration proceedings and is experienced in acting as an Assistant to the appointed quantum Expert. Her experience portfolio includes many large scale and complex projects across various sectors throughout the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia, including infrastructure, power and utilities, mixed-use developments and oil & gas facilities and installations. Other project experience includes residential buildings, offices, sports facilities, libraries, hospitals and military camps.
Nurul is the Chair of HKA’s ED&I Committee for Middle East region and currently sits on the board member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) Qatar Branch as the Events & Social Secretary.
